I too have the lens cap problem, not sure what is causing it. I dropped it once and had it repaired. After sitting about 6 months, I decided to capture 5 tapes I'd made. Turned it on this morning and got the lens cap message and both the screen and viewfinder are dark, although I do see camera messages like lens cap and the menus and stuff. What gives?
