JVC HD 70 FH96 70" 1o80p upconverting television

A tech recently came to my home to replace a broken base that my tv arrived with and in doing so he had to take the whole thing apart to install on the new base. When he got it back together the hdmi digital inputs were dead, everything else is fine component s video etc. Is this corruption fixable or does a new hdmi board need to be installed? The unit is under warranty I just would like to know if he needed to go to all the trouble of a new board. Thanks
