same here. I had same problem and google out this discussion. Open camera and tickle lense with nail a couple of time. then it works.

I too was receiving the E:61 error message on my Sony camera. I took the advice and whacked it twice into the palm of my hand pretty hard and the error message went away. Thanks

do u mean take open the camera or just like slide it open like usual?
