JVC projection TV needs help

I have a JVC projection TV that about 6 years old, It just went nuts after I installed an Emerson dvd/vcr combo on it. The problems I am having is snowy picture,no sound, cannot reprogram channels it keeps deleting them everytime. If anyone has, or had similiar problems, please contact me and let me know what I can do before I contact a service rep. Thanks, Maureen
