I'm having the same problem with my Sony CCD TRV46. I cannot find anything on the web regarding this issue. When I load a new or old tape the door will not shut. After closing door it does not fully load. Again, after about 30 seconds the door pops back open. I'm not sure if it's worth bringing to a repair shop as it's about 5-6 years old.
