Re: Sony mvc-cd300

Jim Posted May 09, 2006, in response to:Michelle Mastropolo

Hi, This series of cameras,CD200-CD250-CD300-CD350-CD400-CD500,can suffer the same illness. Also thier parents, the FD series. The lens tracks back and forth and can't "jive" with the disk, looking, looking, looking. Most often an adjustment and "tweaking" is needed. This can be very time consuming. There are other reasons as well, like broken parts. I have one of these units in house now. Stay in touch,I'll share what I know/find out. Jim

I need my CD400 looked over. It won't recognize any disc(accidently dropped). Otherwise it wants to perform! Know any good dealers or does this have to be sent back to a factory rep so i can get taken for some big money to restore it to its original state? I appreciate any help! What aabout trouble codes that come on screen? are their and manuals theat will lead you to the actual problem? -Paul...
