The camera is capturing just a gray screen and the symbols for out-of-focus are blinking. The rest works ok.

I own a GR-D34E model and I have used it only for home videos. I had no problem with it until yesterday. The batery was completely empty (the camera was not used for a few weeks in a row). I have recharged the batery but when I tried starting it for a test it showed me only the gray screen. I have tried resetting it (from the menu and by removing the batery) with no results. I have searched the web and found a lot of complains just like mine... I read somewhere that JVC will fix some models for free but I guess only for the US models... Too bad. I have trusted JVC...
