My camcorder just shows a black screen with Lens Cap flashing as another person has mentioned.

I purchased this camcorcer less than two years ago. Well not this one, the first one (identical to this one) after using is about a total of 6 hours started having the vertical lines all over the screen and viewfinder as others have mentioned, luckily I was able to have it replaced. This one I have now is the same camcorder and I have used it about a total of 4 hours. It's kept in it's case, now all the sudden after working just fine it's just showing a black screen with Lens Cap flashing. I cannot open any menu nothing. It's just black with all the icons things on the screen. This is the second one I have had issues with will you please help me fix this. Thank you.
