Dear sir,
I have a JVC camcorder model GR-D90U that was given to me about two and a half years ago. I have only used the camcorder for a total of about four hours, it has not been abused or knocked around, and it lives in a well padded case. I recently wanted to use the camcorder and charged the battery up. The camera now displays a series of vertical lines in the viewfinder and on the display screen. The vertical lines correspond the the light parts of the image. There is also a horizontal line that appears when I point the camera into daylight. I have removed the battery many times and just let it sit, to no avail. The tape play back seems to be OK, if I try to record with it I only get the vertical lines. Is there some way to reset or reboot the camcorder, or is the lens/ imaging system screwed up and it needs to be sent in for service?
I live in NJ zip code 07860 if I have to take it for service could you recomend someone, thanks.
Thanks for your time and assistance,
best wishes,
JB
