error message 09-209 on DSR-80

I have received a TDK 60:00 miniDV tape from a client. IN our DSR-80, this tape will play only from the beginning, up to about 10:00, then stops in this deck. It will play properly - to the end, at about 47:00, in other decks - Sony DVCAM + Panasonic DVCPRO. The DSR 80 deck gives an error message of Error 09-209 and auto ejects the tape. Auto rewind is turned off in the menu of this deck. What does this error code mean? Thanks for any help.
