Same as Subject

Hi Stacy: I have a JVC, Model AV-27950 with no vertical height. I do not have test equipment except for a V/O Meter and no diagram. I beleive the problem is the vertical IC-421 but not 100% sure. Also, resistor R-542 appears to have over-heated and reads about 20 Meg. What is the actual value of this resistor? Where can I get a diagram/schematic of this set and where is the best source for parts? Your assistance is very much appreciated. Joe
