LOL, it realy works - just turn off, remove baterries and hit it ... and it works. i dont know - perhabs only removing batteries can also resolve the problem :)

This error 21:00 is known as Condensation. problem So what u have to do is keep it on for an hour

Worked for my HDR-HC1E too. Can't believe it. The moisture condensation error is gone. Tried before without batteries for a couple of hours, cleaning tapes and such, nothing worked. The light slap did the trick though :) Hopefully no more C:21:00.

HOLY S!*& i can not believe that hitting my camera actually worked. Its a $3,000 piece of equipment and i was scared i would have t buy a new one because of the moisture condensation error, but a few open hand slaps and the thing works like new. THANK YOU!!!!! to whoever figured this out, i am in debt to you

Brilliant!. I had the same problem and did what Trevor suggested and worked straight away. Awesome! Then you take it to a shop and they charge you money for doing just that :). Cheers

Incredible.. My HDR-HC1 has been out of action for weeks with this stupid condensation error.. I took the battery off, held it in my left had and gave it 2 firm (but not too hard) wacks on the underside with the palm of my right hand.. The error is gone. Time will tell if it is gone for good or of repeated beatings will cause some problem down the track.

unbelievable, i've had this error for months with the HC1, took the batt off, slapped it twice on the bum and it works.. i really can't believe this...

hahahahah that guy that sayed to take all power out of the camra hit it and then turn it back on it worked for me
