How do I reset my Sony Mavica FD-97 to open photos with Quicktime Pictureviewer instead of Internet Explorer?

All of my photos now seem to be in a different format. They are JPEG, but when I try to view them on the computer screen, they have an Internet Explorer icon and IE opens before showing the photo. Also, they are very large - 11" x 14" - I can't see the whole photo on the monitor at once and have to scroll up, down, and across to see it all. What's going on? I looked for a reset button on the camera, but there isn't any.
