JVC

I have a JVC AV-48WP30 that Ive had for about 2.5 years now. Just today when I turned it on the color and picture isnt right, it shows doubles of all scenes and there is some blueish thick line from the the top left to the center of the tv. Can someone help me in fixing this, is it something I can do myself? My warranty is over and so is my extended warranty. Ive seen this happen before when a magnet was put against a tv screen, is this the same thing?
