Home | Previous messageIf you take the camcorder case screws out and separate the case, look near the loading motor at the rear left hand side (looking from the front) of the mechanism, have a look for the plug (number CN201) that supplies power to the loading motor. When found, take off (carefully snip) the wire from pin 6, and that will disconnect the sensor. It should be said only do that if you know that its not actually excessive moisture thats causing the problem, or the tape could stick to the drum, but its more the common case the over sensitivity of that particular circuit.

RE-POSTING SUPPOSEDLY FROM JOHN. A check was made on this revealing that the posting was "NOT" made by the person named and contains inaccurate information, insomuch that on the model indicated the plug number is CN403 that is used for the loading motor with pin 6 being the sensor. Also the wire is NOT snipped but shorted onto the one next to it, that being pin 5 the common earth for the sensor and the motor. Has anyone actually tried this and if so, does it work or totally bork the camera? Has anyone tried this and if so, does it work or does it totally bork the camera?? |
