Error code 61:00-Camera will not focus or telescope

I had this camera repaired about 90 days after purchasing. I sent it to Sony, they claim it went back to Japan. They fixed it-and now about two years later its broke again. Sony's estimate was $177.00, but they said I might try to reset it first. I have replaced this camera with a DSC H1, but I would like to use the older as a back up.
