Lens Cap Issue
I purchased a GRDF 430 camcorder while in USA in November of last year and have used it twice to record about two hours footage in total.
It has been idle for the past two months and now displays the infamous lens cap error. I believe JVC are now repairing units under warranty but I now have the difficulty of the unit being in Ireland having being bought in USA.
This will presumably give JVC an easy reason not to repair it under warranty. If I had seen the widespread comments on various web boards about this issue I would never have bought it.
I am reasonably technical - is there a d.i.y. solution to this problem ?
