Re[2]: Sony Handycam DCR-DVD101E XP driver problems

dan cougar Posted Mar 21, 2006, in response to:SAMUEL KANYENDA

Ok, this might help some of you people out there who can't get that stupid Sony thing called image maker. I ran into the problem that my wedding dinner footage was recorded on a piece of CR_P called a Sony DCR-DVD101e. It was my wife’s friend’s unit. I managed to make a copy of the DVD-RW disk but almost nothing could play it or read it. Of course, it was so important to me, that I had to find a solution. I managed to find a way to extract all the data off that DVD-RW. Here is how I did it: http://www.anikionline.com/FAQs/video_FAQs/S03-nonUDF/S03-non_UDF.htm I hope this helps some of you.

Did you have a problem like my current one? My Sony Handycam DCR-DVD92 records onto a 3 inch disk but I can't seem to make a copy of any of the disks, nor can I successfully transfer the disk contents onto my computer...I can click and drag what would appear to be a copy onto the computer's hard drive, but then when I put another disk in for copying, each previous set of dragged/copied files only shows the contents of the currently installed disk. I'd love to hear if this is the same issue that you had. Thanks, Greg
