My compact system, MX-KA3 stopped responding, and turns itself off?????

We have had our stero for about 10months, works flawlessly, until this morning...we went to turn it on the aux. to watch a dvd through the unit, and the light came on, but then said "Good bye", so we tried the other modes, same thing...cd,tape,am/fm, all shutting itself down. We disconnected it a half dozen times thinking it would reset itself, but to no avail. I probably will have to ship it to a repair shop unless someone knows something we can try to fix it. I called JVC, 800, and they told me to ship it to repair, no idea how to fix it....would appreciate if anyone out there could email me if you have any ideas, thanks, Dennis dennisgramm@verizon.net
