ASAP HELP!! E04 Unit in safeguard mode : Remove and Reattach Battery:Unit in safeguard mode

I began experiencing this problem earlier on this year after my warranty ran out on my JVC DVL310U digital camcorder. When i turn it on it shows this code "E04 Remove and reattach battery. Unit in safegaurd mode." I have tried to remove the battery and replace it and I just perchased a head cleaner to clean it. it will not even load the tape in. Can any one tell me what is causing this problem and how to rectify it. Thank you
