Homeerror on cdx-705 10 disc changer I have a xr-c450 sony stero and cdx-705 sony 10 disc changer. I changed discs and now it will not play any cd's. It will skip to different discs (started at 10 sometimes then to 3, 7,8, 2) and will only display "error" and skip to the next disc till it eventually stops trying to start a new disc. Any idea what I should try? I have removed and replaced all cd's in the changer - one time it worked till I advanced to the next song. Then it went back to the same problem.

Experiencing the same problem. Has anyone overcome this? Sometimes it seems that after riding in the car for awhile and attempting to listen to a CD, I have better success. Also, if one CD can be read, usually I can cycle through all CDs with all failing, but the one will work each time. It's almost like the mechanics are starting to fail, or are gunked up. I wonder if the insides can somehow be cleaned? |
