Display is not showing total picture

When viewing the previously recorded tape through the camera (JVC GR-AXM220u) it appears that the image is cut - you see the bottom portion of the picture only the remainder of the screen is filled with snow - sound is functioning and with the picture - does the same when played back on the VCR and TV.
