What is the problem with my sony trinitron Kv-35S40?

Sarah Posted Mar 15, 2006

I've had my tv for about 6 years now and all of a sudden it turned off on it's own. Theres no picture or sound, although there is a red flashing light that is labeled "Stand by/Timer" (continous flash, no pausing)

I've read that this is the self-diagnosis fuction to indicate what the problem is. I've read the list of the problems and my T.V. blinks continuously without pausing. I looked up that problem, but i don't know what it means. It says "Continuous Blink Once A Second, No Pausing As Discussed Above--- No reply from the jungle IC301 (data bus is busy, shorted to ground or held high), IK video path is defective." So can anyone tell me what that means, how to fix it and how much it would cost? it would be greatly appriciated. thanks

sounds like your power supply dies. you can send it to repair to the sony center it will cost you around $75 between shipping and repair. If you are lucky that is the only problem if not you will have to fix the "A" board where is the blinking red led (light)if that is teh case you will have to pay $155 for that board. If you don't have any one to repair, open the cover without have a electrical shock you will to send it to a repair center and pay the money they ask you.....good luck

I've already fixed my T.V. i had to replace the parts inside of it because my T.V. was pluged directly pluged into the wall outlet. You have to buy a Power Surge to protect the T.V. To replace the parts on my T.V. cost about $200 dependnig if you get a good price.
