Re: JVC service or questions

christina tetrault Posted Mar 06, 2006, in response to:Stacy Sample

My question is regarding my JVC GR/D91U video camera. It is giving me a message "condensation, operation paused". Do you know why I would be getting this message?

Hey guy's.. I had the same problem with my camera ( condensation ) What you need to do is take the camcorder apart and there is a cable behind tha battery that you need to disconnect for about 5min and then reconnect it. I found how to take the camcorder apart on the net. can't remember where though

I have had this problem with my camera for over a year. As you can see, I don't use the cam that often. I have it kept in the insulated bag I bought with it. And I keep it in my closet which is very dry. I tried contacting JVC three times through their website, but they never reply. When I call tech support, they give me no answers. All they'll do is give me a service center phone number. Why should I have to pay to have this fixed when it is obviously a mechanical malfunction. I wonder if they know all about it, and that's why they never respond to anyone! I can't believe they offer such poor customer loyalty. They should stand behind a product that has gone wrong. Especially when it seems to be something wrong with a lot of their cameras! Had they gotten back to me after my first attempt at contacting them, my camera would still have been under warranty, and they would have had to fix it. If they know about the problem maybe they didn't respond because they didn't want to send me out a newer model to replace the piece of Junk I paid so much for. Thank you for letting me vent, and if you have any ideas out there, as to how I can fix this problem I would greatly appriciate it.
