it wont turn on

cant turn on p93
batteries are full, viewing option worked, once i switched the setting to one to take pictures it would shut down w/out even retracting lens, so i pushed reset w/ a pen, now itonly makes the startup melody, and immediately shuts off. what did i do wrong? the cameras not mine, so this means i'm in BIG trouble= please please help-thanks!

In most of cases it's batteries.
Don't trust the indicator, just get new NiMh batteies.
If it still doesn't, you can send it to me for repair.
