AV-27290; on timer light blinks; can't get tv to show menur or picture

I turned on my television this morning (hooked up to JVC receiver)and got television sound but no picture. The on timer light was blinking. I unplugged, was able to turn on, but before the picture or menu showed, the on timer light began to blink and turned off the televsion. Any ideas on how to fix? Thank you.
