Can't Read the Disks.

I recently received a Mavica MVC-FD85 as a gift. I tried it out, took some pictures with the floppy in the camera, and when I tried to view the files on the Computer (OS Win.XP), it wouldn't allow me to view the disk. Wouldn't even open the disk. The only option I got was to format the disk. So I tried it, threw the disk back in the camera, had to reformat the disk again (in the cam), tried a couple pictures, removed the disk, and I'm at the same problem again. Am I missing something? Any help is greatly appreciated.
