Joe Sett Posted Feb 26, 2006

I am told that some of the cooling liquid spiled on the main board.

I replaced the projector and cleaned the board below, the tv worked for few days and stoped, now it will not turn on at all. any ideas?

Is your 57" tv a Toshiba? I had a similar problem after replaceing a rear-projection mirror. When the mirror broke, a piece of mirror cut through the outer rubber cover. The glycerol escaped. After replacing the mirror and cleaning the lens covers the tv operated correctly. Two days later the tv lost all audio. I was told by a local tv repair tech that the glycerol spreads slowly and eats away the component chips. I had the board replaced.
