Re: sony HZ29 blinking 10 times

Agusril Posted Feb 20, 2006, in response to:soundar

Dear all, My tv have the same problem. According to Sony: Diagnosis item: High-Voltage stopped (HV-PROT) Probable cause location: T8001 (FBT) rare short-circuit (D board) IC8002, Q8013, 8014, R8051 (D board) After some checking I can turn on my tv set, accidentally the TV turn on. It's happened when I am measuring the voltage in pin 2 or 3 or 4 of IC8002. It run normal as long as I don't turn on the TV by unplugging the main power outlet or turn the main power switch off. If I am unplugging the set, I have to touch the pins with multitest lead, as before. The other of the lead can be opened. Until now I don't know what the exact cause of this problem (behaviour). Anyone else have others suggenstions? Thanx, Agusril
