Well Paul, have you opened up the dvd drive? you need to do this via 4 mega tiny screws. Once opened (with the cd tray still in)you should see a white cog at the back of the tray slot under the cd tray. You need to eject the cd tray to allow better access to this cog. switch on, eject, switch off again. now mark the cog where it meets a metal prong and then turn it (only one way!) you will notice the lens move upwards then back to the bottom. This happens when you reach a certain point on the cog. Now for the technical bit. turn the cog so the lens is at the bottom. Try a game with the top of the dvd drive held on loosely but firmly, if it doesnt work move the lens a notch and try try try again. this only works if your laser is operational. hope this helps. ollie
