my camcorder is will not let me zoom in or focus in on any thing

hi in tyler, i am having a problems with my jvc GR-D22U video camera, its a mini DV camera. My camcorder will not let my zoom in at all it will just stay at 1xW . and it will not focus right, i was wondering how i could fix that problem if you have any suggestions on how to fix that please e mail me back at ty_sloan13@hotmail.com THANK YOU tyler
