Homebought 3 years, appears recently more frequently. can not play playback. tape works but no pictures on lcd or anywhere.

Sounds like you have a dirty video head assy, try cleaning the video heads with a mini dv cleaning tape or a cotton swap soaked with alcohol. Worst case scenario the drum assy needs to be replaced. Let me know if you need parts or repaired. Rex |
