Clicks for a few seconds but then nothing.

A few days ago my JVC AV-48WP30 started making "bumping" sounds in the speakers for a few seconds then nothing. The remote would not turn off the blue power indicator nor would the front switch. I disconnected the speakers and removed the back plate. When my wife turned on the TV I could hear a clicking noise that would last a few seconds then nothing. I've tried searching for a service manual or schematic to try and help me pinpoint where the problem might be. There are no repair shops locally so I'm stuck trying to figure it out on my own. Any ideas??
