Re[4]: dead sony kp53hs10 big screen

Jason Lacquement Posted Jan 12, 2006, in response to:Eric

Eric, I have the service bulletin but need to know how to get the card out to take to the shop. I have my TV built-in to the wall and the only access is from under the stairs via a small access hole I made! I saw them once when I was researching this problem last year, k=can not find them now. Thank you! Jason Lacquement

Jason SB442R3 only pertains to a jittery pix while playing Progressive Scan DVDs or when certain brand DTV Receivers are connected to the Video 5 Input. Is that the problem you are having? You might be more interested in SB484R2 which pertains to No Pix when first turned on and Standby LED blinks 5 times. I will e-mail you this Service bulletin. As far as removing the "A" circuit board. The "A" board is the main board and will require using both hands and will be very difficult through a small hole. I will try to e-mail you the OEM Service Manual but it's quite large (22MB) so I'll have to send it in a few attachments. If you do receive it successfully check the Self-Diagnosis on page 4 and check the dissassembly instructions beginning on pg 36. Eric
