My camera stopped taking pictures out of the blue, it performs every other task well (formatting, zooming, etc.)

I have a Cybershot DSC-P50 2.1MP camera. It refuses to take any pictures, Ive tried everything!! I dont get any error message, have used reset button but no luck. You can see all on the LCD, make changes in setup, you can do all! except taking photos.............Might it be possible that it has a faulty shutter button? Will try to disassemble it and have a look. Any suggestions and/or service manual or diagram is welcome!! Thanks
