Hi, I am just having the same problem. THere can be condensation when you come form the cold and enter a warm room. This might cause malfunctions or damage your camcorder. For this there is a sensor in it. Open the camcorder and remove the tape. Let the camcorder open for the condensation to disappear. Regards Cornelius
