problem regarding retreiving photos

hey, i have got the sony dig camera, model no DSC-S40.It is givin me a C:13:01 error as soon as i insert one of the memory chips.it is workin fine with the others.Is anything wrong with the camera? Should i give it for repairs? More importantly, i have photos on the memory chip which is givin the error.the photos are very dear to me and i need to retrieve them under any circumstances.please help me.please.please
