i have a model 592 jvc. it has auto tracking which sometimes appears to not work. according to jvc's website, you should be able to press both "channel up" buttons (on machine) at same time, then use up or down to manually adjust tracking. not sure if it really works. mine seems to be working fine now with auto but didn't work yesterday. warranty on mine was 90 days (bought 7 months ago) and there's no point getting it fixed since you can get a new one for same price as repair. it's a crime to have to buy an extended warranty but i guess this would have been a good time to have one. try the "channel-up" method above.
