after hooking up the system, the source monitor is working (AVID coming up) but the Edit monitor is not working. going to control panel->monitors, i see the the computer is recognizing only one monitor.

hi, I just got an AVID workstation from a friend and trying to make it work. This is Power Mac 81000/100, with media composer 5.6. The problem is that after hooking up the system, the source monitor is working (AVID coming up) but the Edit monitor is not working. going to control panel->monitors, i see the the computer is recognizing only one monitor. Could someone help direct me on whether this seems to be hardware problem or software? any suggestions what should be the next steps to make this work? i ran the nuvista utility and under "select NuVista Card" - the utility showed one unknown card on slot 8. when clicking on it i got the following msg: "warning - the driver on this card appears to be corrupted, if this is a NuVista card, please reload desired driver" when i click ok on the msg, i get another popup requesting me to select Nuvista+Types: the options are NTSC or Pal. currently i have NTSC selected. When i click ok, i get on the "select resolution" window few resolutions to choose from. i selected "648x486) (arbitrarily) and then i am requested to select a startup rate scan. Options are Non Interlaced or NTSC. if i selected non interlaced (hit the Load button") - i get the message: “you have set the Nuvista to start up for non-interlaced scan rate. please be sure your monitor will support these requirements”. After selecting, ok i get the following error message:” Warning! Error in reading the slot resource for serial DAC parameters. The original DAC parameters will not be saved". any help will be greatly appreciated, Thanks, Tal
