Were you actually able to take the face apart? I have taken the rest of the cd player apart and removed my ribbon cable but I have not been able to take apart the face. I removed all of the screws from the face and I guess short of trying to break the plastic on the face I cannot get the front and back to pry apart. I wanted to make sure that nothing inside of the face was damaged before I settled on buying a new ribbon cable. Besides, the old ribbon cable does not really seem to hold into place to well when it is plugged into the face. Any tips?
