I have a Nutone 4006 and wish to update with a CD player. 2 questions: (1) How do I fix the static from my radio? any antenna fix? (2) IM4406 has CD but no cassette tape facility. Any suggestions?

I have a Nutone 4006 and wish to update with a CD player. 2 questions: (1) How do I fix the static from my radio? Any antenna fix? (2) IM4406 has CD but no cassette tape facility. Any suggestions? Do I upgrade with IM 4406 or just keep a CD player attachment at the side?
