I'm getting no picture on both play and record whether through lcd or connected to tv

I'm getting no picture, whether on play or record. I can hear sound on previously recorded tapes. I have a JVC digital video camera GR-DVL820EA. This seemed to happen after a few attempts to connect the camera to my PC, any ideas? thanks
