Video Streaking

My son splashed me with water recently when videoing him and I shut down the camera to inspect for any possible water damage. I did not see any, but I removed the tape and allowed it to air for several days. When I turned the camera back on vertcal streaking appears especially off of the any type of bright light source. Then sometime the streaking takes over everything. I was curious if anyone knows what might be causing this and if there is something I can clear that would repair this or am I just stuck with having to pay $150 for service repair? Thanks.
