When playing DV tapes there is a random ticking and it coincides with a tearing of the picture. The player no longer can be used for Dubbing or editing or anything related to the DV side . VHS remains great.

When the picture begins to tear a message "use head cleaner " appears. This does not help. This unit has only had about a 100 DV's passed through it and a lot less vhs tapes. It is used for editing only. I know it is several years old now but considering it's original cost and replacement cost; I would hope repair is warranted. please advise, Dick Thanks for the ear I needed someone to talk too.
