Home | First message in thread | Previous messageWayne...saw your posting & I think I can help. Looking at a Panasonic manual for a similar deck, it says this "d" is a code for "dew" or condensation. It says (quote): When condensation forms inside the unit, the error message "d" will be displayed on the counter and all operation buttons are made inoperative. Leave the unit on and let it remain at room temperature until "d" disappears. Depending on the surrounding conditions, this may take several hours. Sure hope this helps! Mo~

That's great information, but the room conditions haven't changed in years and the unit really couldn't have got wet---UNLESS someone spilled something on it!! Hum---wondering---those teenagers of mine......Mountain Dew..?? Do you know where the dew sensor is inside the case? Maybe something is stuck. Thanks again for the info---you're right--all controls are frozen. ------Wayne |
