Home | Previous messageSearching this forum I found a post that indicated that this was being covered by JVC on certain models even if the warranty period had expired. Follow this link. http://www.pechorin.com/m/2005/10/12/Re_Lens_Cap_error_repair_under_warranty_by_JVC-247118.html I called today, a Sunday, talked to a rep and got the info to send my camera in. I am responsible for shipping to them, its a 10 day turnaround and they ship back FedEx 2nd Day service. Good luck.
