i'm sorry, i think i posted under the wrong heading. i meant to post under the jvc error codes page. there was a post there about how to hard reset the camcorder to get rid of the error messages and it worked. i was having several and it works fine now. anyone else having this problem try this page, http://www.pechorin.com/m/2005/01/20/JVC_GRD70U_condensation_problem-232572.html the others are right though, try to keep track of what screw go where cuz it was a pain
