JVC model GR-DVL220u, power problem

I recently purchased a GR-DVL220u jvc in july 05, but last week, it wouldn't cut on and it still won't now. It was working fine the day before. i just need some suggestions on what it could be. I don't think its anything with the battery, because i have pluuged the camcorder up to the charger without the battery and it still wouldn't cut on. Thank you
