I asked JVC about a recall. They said there were no recalls on them. I do know they have to have so many go bad with the same problem before they will do recalls, but don't know how many qualifies for a recall.

I actually got through to JVC, and they agreed to fix my camera at no expense. I have the 1 800 number if anyone wants it. They just require you to mail it back to them, and they pay for shipping back. The turn time is 7-10 days. Thanks for the help.
