Red LED is blinking there is no picture,there is sound.

My TV was working until the power went out during Hurricane Katrina. The unit was pluged into a surge protector. There was no water damage. I unpluged all electrical and cable connections before I left after the storm. When I returned six weeks later only the sound works, there is no picture and the menu, volume bars etc. do not appear on the screen.And the red LED light blinks. Is it worth repairing or is it shot? Any help is appreciated. Tom
